Nervaé Obscura: Why we chose the Miyota 82S5 Automatic Caliber
The essence of Nervaé is found in a delicate balance: radical minimalist aesthetics paired with uncompromising mechanical precision. For our debut model, the Obscura, the movement was the soul of the project. We chose Japanese excellence: the Miyota 82S5.
The Heart of the Obscura: Miyota 82S5 Open-Heart Unlike sterile quartz movements, the Miyota 82S5 is an automatic engine that beats to the rhythm of your life. Its signature feature? An "Open-heart" architecture, revealing the constant pulse of the balance wheel directly on the dial. With a 42-hour power reserve, this caliber is a global benchmark for robustness. It is the preferred choice for premium micro-brands that prioritize mechanical soul over planned obsolescence.
A 316L Surgical Steel Armor To shield this mechanism, the Obscura is encased in 42mm of 316L Stainless Steel. Trusted in the medical field for its extreme corrosion resistance, this steel is treated with a Matte Black PVD finish for a deep, stealthy aesthetic.
Sapphire Crystal: Everyday Invulnerability A scratch on a new timepiece is unacceptable. That’s why every Nervaé is equipped with a scratch-resistant Sapphire crystal. Only a diamond can challenge its surface, guaranteeing absolute clarity year after year.
